- Before trying any other instructions, press and hold the BACK button for 30 seconds to perform a hard reboot.

If the device doesn’t power on despite being charged
It is possible that the firmware of your Flipper Zero has been corrupted. You can restore the firmware via the qFlipper desktop application and the built-in Device Firmware Update (DFU) bootloader in two steps.
Step 1. Activate the DFU bootloader on your Flipper Zero
- Unplug the USB cable from your Flipper Zero if connected.
- Press and hold the BACK and OK buttons for 30 seconds. Note that it's normal for your Flipper Zero to have no indications on the screen.
At this point, the DFU bootloader should have been activated, and the device is ready to proceed with firmware repair.
Step 2. Repair the firmware via qFlipper
- On your computer, open qFlipper.
- Connect your Flipper Zero to your computer via the provided USB cable.
- In qFlipper, click the blue REPAIR button.
If qFlipper doesn’t detect your Flipper Zero
Make sure that your Flipper Zero is connected to your computer as a DFU device:
- On Windows: Go to Device Manager → Universal Serial Bus devices and ensure that the DFU in FS Mode device is connected.
- On macOS: Click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner on the screen, then go to About This Mac → More info → System Report → Hardware → USB and ensure that the DFU in FS Mode device is connected.
- On Linux: In the Terminal, run the lsusb command and ensure that STMicroelectronics STM Device in DFU Mode is connected.
If your Flipper Zero fails to connect as a DFU device
Activate the DFU bootloader in a different way:
- Unplug the USB cable from your Flipper Zero if connected.
- Press and hold the BACK button for 30 seconds to perform a hard reboot.
- Simultaneously press and hold the LEFT, BACK, and OK buttons for three seconds.
- Release the LEFT and BACK buttons, but keep holding the OK button for three more seconds. Note that it's normal for your Flipper Zero to have no indications on the screen during this process.
- On your computer, open qFlipper.
- Connect your Flipper Zero to your computer via the provided USB cable.
- In qFlipper, click the blue REPAIR button.
If none of the above helped
- Try using a different USB cable.
- If you are using a different USB cable, ensure it supports data transfer.
- Connect your Flipper Zero directly to a USB port on your computer's motherboard without using an adapter or hub.
- If you are using Windows OS, check that the correct DFU device driver is installed.
